On a morning hike up Blue Hill I came across these birds: ~20 Bohemian Waxwing, Purple Finch, Singing Brown Creeper, Drumming Ruffed Grouse, Hermit Thrush, Singing Winter Wren, Phoebe and GC Kinglets as well as the usual RB Nuthatches, Chickadees. Also saw Garter Snake and Mourning Cloak Butterfly. Still have Pine Siskins at feeders, lots of sparrows (WT and Song)some Juncos. Surprisingly, no Blue Jays here for a few days and very few Robins. Chickadees are checking out nesting boxes and a pair of RB Nuthatches guard the peanut feeder like crazy!
