Look in the Crab Apple Tree plantings in the lawns as you go north up the hill out of town. The food supply north of us in the boreal forests have crashed and we are having a huge invasion so far this year. 6 PINE GROSBEAK 35+ BOHEMIAN WAXWING

Several Evening Grosbeaks around the house today. First I have seen in two years in this area. White-winged Scoters, Eiders, Long-tailed Ducks, and Horned Grebes are back in the outer bay off the falls.

Yesterday we had a flock of about 15 Bohemian Waxwings (mixed in with a few Cedar's) which were eating our crabapples. I don't remember having them here this early before. They were beautiful. The White-crowned Sparrows have left, it seems but there are lots of White-throateds and Juncos around.
