30 Bohemian Waxwings on Parker Point Road near the Library; a Double-crested Cormorant still hanging around the Salt Pond, although most of them left the area around the Falls some time ago.

Look in the Crab Apple Tree plantings in the lawns as you go north up the hill out of town. The food supply north of us in the boreal forests have crashed and we are having a huge invasion so far this year.

Several Evening Grosbeaks around the house today. First I have seen in two years in this area. White-winged Scoters, Eiders, Long-tailed Ducks, and Horned Grebes are back in the outer bay off the falls.

1st sighting of Buffleheads in our cove, in Blue Hill Harbor. Of the last 4 years our first sighting have either been on Nov. 1, 2 or 3rd!

Yesterday we had a flock of about 15 Bohemian Waxwings (mixed in with a few Cedar's) which were eating our crabapples. I don't remember having them here this early before. They were beautiful. The White-crowned Sparrows have left, it seems but there are lots of White-throateds and Juncos around.
