when our birdathon team "The Lame Ducks" of the Downeast Audubon conducted our effort on May 28th. I'm not sure when they arrived at this very reliable habitat where they can be heard in our "neck of the woods. Because the gate is closed one must travel by foot or bicycle to enter this site but I would be fairly certain that they could be heard from State Highway Route 1,3 at the crepuscular hours when vehicular traffic is light if one is in need of a fix.
